What is an architect?

An architect is responsible for the designing of buildings and areas as well as for technical support during the construction phase. He takes into account the static as well as the aesthetic, functional and efficient design.

 

When is an architect commissioned?

Architects either work freelance or are employed in architectural offices. In design, architects work with the latest CAD software. In close coordination with the client, they produce the first drafts on this basis up to the final overall draft. After completion of the design phase, the architect can also be commissioned to supervise the property and to provide support, including remedy of defects.

 

Which kind of architects are out there?

During their studies, architects can specialize in a particular field. These include, for example, interior design, landscape architecture, urban planning or building construction.
