Building acoustician

What is a building acoustician?

Building acoustics is an essential factor in spatial planning. A building acoustician examines the effects of the spatial conditions on the propagation of sound within the rooms and also to the outside world.

Why do you need a building acoustician?

The building acoustician checks, among other things, whether legal requirements regarding volume can be met. He considers the airborne and structure-borne sound transmission of the individual components. Noise acousticians are used in particular to ward off noise in the building industry in order to avoid acoustic problems. In most cases, the noise acoustician is commissioned as early as the design phase of a building in order to identify and avoid possible noise problems at an early stage.
